Theme for 2003: Peace with God, peace with self and peace with others.
Key Verse for 2003: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God
(Matthew 5:9).Walking with God
"Enoch walked with God three hundred years." Genesis 5:22.
Walking is considered as a good exercise and sometimes the best exercise. Walk a
mile Therapy is becoming more and more popular now. Yes, walking is a good physical
exercise. Walking with God is then the best spiritual exercise. For three hundred years
Enoch walked with God and then God took him away. Noah was another man who walked with
God. The quality of Christian life is measured in terms of how much we are able to walk
with God. Bible reading, prayer, meditation, worship, fellowship and service are some of
the steps in that spiritual walkathon. Walking in pace with God is possible only through
absolute obedience to the will of God, intimate relationship with Him and meaningful
participation of His mission in this world. Never run, God does not have a fast pace and
never slow down, He has miles to go. We need to keep in step without running ahead or
lagging behind. Along the way, we talk with the Lord, listen to him, enjoy his presence,
and share our stories with Him. We trust his guidance when we cannot see what lies ahead.
It is not just the destination thats important, but also the journey with Him.
Remember, the best companion in our life journey is God and only He. Let us walk with him
everyday and every moment and reach the destination without delay. He cannot wait for us
for He has thousands else who walk with Him. Keep the pace and go ahead.
May God help everybody to walk with God day-by-day and moment-by-moment. |
