Theme for 2003: Peace with God, peace with self and peace with others.
Key Verse for 2003: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God (Matthew 5:9).
Prayer for the Year: Lord make me an instrument of your peace.

Where is Jesus?

A four-year-old girl was at the pediatrician’s office for a check up. As the doctor looked into her ears with an otoscope, he asked, "Do you think I find Big Bird in here?" The girl stayed silent. Next the doctor took a tongue depressor and looked down her throat. He asked, "Do you think I will find Cookie Monster down there?" Again the little girl was silent. Then the doctor put a stethoscope to her chest. As he listened to the heartbeat, he asked, "Do you think I will find Barney in here?" "Oh, no!" the little girl replied, "Jesus is in my heart, Barney is on my underpants."

Where is Jesus in our life? For some Jesus is in the Church. For some others Jesus is in the Bible. For many others Jesus is in the garbage, disposable after use. Allow Jesus to come out from where we have locked him up, and request him to stay within us, as our savior, guide and companion. Let Jesus be within us and with us. "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me." Rev. 3:20.

Let this year’s thanksgiving become meaningful with Jesus within us and with us.
