Theme For The Year 2005: Fellowship with God, self and others.

The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

When Jesus came into this world and lived among the human beings, the people saw in Him the glory of the Eternal God. The life of Jesus was a revelation of the glory of God. His words, his actions, his reactions, and his very presence were a revelation of the glory of God. When Jesus healed the sick people, he was revealing the glory of God; when he ate with the sinners and tax collectors, he was revealing the glory of God; when he taught them through parables, he was revealing the glory of God, when he prayed for those who persecuted him, he was revealing the glory of God; and when he offered the thief on the cross an affirmation about the paradise, he was revealing the glory of God. Yes, everywhere and every moment he was revealing the glory of God.

If Jesus revealed the glory of God through his life, all Christians have to follow his foot steps and reveal God’s glory through our life and our very presence in this world. Through our words, actions, reactions, behaviors, stories, metaphors, relationships, conversations, patterns, and our very presence, we reveal who we are. Let us have a comparison and self reflection of what we reveal through our life everyday and what we ought to reveal through our life everyday, and see whether we come short of the glory of God. Who we think we are is different from what others think who we are. What others say about us is very important because it helps us to look into areas which we are unaware of and less mindful of. Whether we accept it or not, we live continuously in relationship with others (positive and negative relationships), and others help us condition our lives, attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, on one side, the glory of God that others reveal through their lives will help us grow spiritually and on the other side, the glory of God that we reveal through our lives will help others grow spiritually. Spiritual death also could happen because of wrong revelations. Beware of what we really reveal everyday.
