Dearly Beloved in Christ,

I deem it as a privilege to be the interim vicar of ATLANTA Mar Thoma Church. For the past 3 years hope you were blessed with the remarkable service of Rev. Abraham P. Varkey and I am sure you are waiting for the new vicar Rev. Jai Varghese. I hope that achen will get the visa soon and join our parish without delay. Let us remember and pray for the new achen as well as the out gone achen that their service will be a blessing for the days to come.

It is time to look back and praise GOD for His wonderful care and protection. We wish we could see what lies around the corner in life. Then we could prepare for it, control it or avoid it. A Wise Person has said “THOUGH WE CAN'T SEE AROUND THE CORNERS, GOD CAN”. How much better and reassuring that is. Even though we do not know what the future holds for us, let us be people who does know that He holds us.

May all Glory and honor be for our Lord Jesus Christ and may God continue to bless us.

                                                              With Prayerful Regards,
                                                              Rev. Jose Abraham

THE RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
St. Matthew 28: 1-9

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "I am the resurrection and the life" ( John. 11:25). The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was the doctrine of every disciple, the faith of every true believer, the courage of every martyr, the theme of every sermon and the power of every Evangelist.

St. Luke tells us that we have "many infallible proof" of His resurrection (Acts 1:3).
Let us now look at some of these "infallible proofs" according to the eye witness.

1. After the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene (John: 20: 11-18)
2. Our Lord Jesus Christ then appeared to the woman returning from the sepulcher (Matt. 28: 5-10).
3. Jesus Christ appeared to Peter. (Luke: 24:34)
4. Jesus Christ then appeared to Emmaus disciples. (Luke: 24: 13:31)
5. Thomas, the disciple was not present when he appeared and again our Lord Jesus Christ appeared to the Apostles when Thomas was present. (John: 20: 24 - 39)
6. He then appeared to the seven by the sea of Tiberius (John 21: 1:23)
7. He then appeared to over five hundred brethren (1 Cor. 15:6)
8. He was seen of James (1 Cor. 15:7)
9. He was again seen by the eleven apostles (Matt. 28: 16:20 and Acts 1: 3:12)
10. Jesus Christ was seen by Stephen, the first martyr. (Acts: 7: 55)
11. Jesus Christ was seen by St. Paul on his way to Damascus (Acts. 9 : 3]6 and also 1 Cor. 15:8).

Many of the eye witnesses died martyrs' death because they preached the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They were glad to die for a living Savior Jesus Christ our Lord. They had the infallible proofs". When Jesus Christ was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, all of His disciples" forsook Him and fled" (Matt. 25:56) from this time until after His resurrection, the disciples lived in fear. They did not believe that He would rise from the dead (John: 20:9). Had Jesus Christ our Lord not come from the dead, the cross would have been the end of Christianity. After the death of Jesus Christ, we see His disciples dejected, discouraged and defeated. The death of Jesus Christ meant but one thing to them; the end. How we do we account for the great change that came into their lives three days and three nights later? The only logical explanation is that they had the "infallible proofs" that He had risen from the dead, and was alive forevermore. They saw Him, talked with him, and ate with him. The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is giving eternal life and Happiness for whole mankind.
